GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball team narrowly lost 80-76 to Missouri Baptist University Saturday night. The Panthers were led by Alex Mumphard who scored a team-high 21 points. Mumphard also dished out five assists.
The game was tight the entire way and saw multiple lead changes throughout.
Sophomore Todd Albertson posted a double-double for the Panthers with 11 points and 11 rebounds. MarQuel Jones also had an impressive night, recording 14 points, 3 assists, and a block.
Garrison Plummer was the lead man for Missouri Baptist with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
With the loss, Greenville drops to 6-3 on the season. They return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Dominican in River Forest, Ill.
