Men's Basketball Nipped by Eureka

GREENVILLE, Ill. --  The men's basketball team was narrowly defeated 77-76 by Eureka Saturday afternoon.  The game ended in very close fashion, and Greenville's last second field goal attempt rimmed out.   Greenville was led by Alex Mumphard who recorded 17 points.

Mumphard also distributed seven assists.  Anthony Metzler led the Panthers in rebounding with nine

Eureka was led in scoring by Mark Lessen who posted 23 points. Dustin Fritsch led the Red Devils in rebounding with 9 rebounds.

With the win, Eureka moves to 8-6 on the season with a 4-2 SLIAC conference record.  The loss drops Greenville to 7-7 on the season including a 2-3 record in conference action.
