RIVER FOREST, Ill.-- The Panthers could not come back from a 33-49 halftime deficit and lost to the Dominican University Stars, 85-74.
MarQuel Jones and Alex Mumphard led the team in scoring, with 17 and 16 points, respectively. Jones also added 4 steals and 5 rebounds. Jordan Smith also added 14 points and 4 rebounds for Greenville.
Todd Albertson and Ben Giertz each contributed 6 assists for the Panthers. Giertz also recorded 6 assists.
Dominican's Anthony Keener scored 33 points in the game, going 11-16 in field goals, 2-2 in three pointers, and leading both teams in scoring.
This loss gives the Panthers a record of 6-4 (1-1 SLIAC). The men play on the road again Saturday, January 5 at 3pm when the take on fellow SLIAC team, MacMurray.
