McQuillan Awarded Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

ST. LOUIS, Mo.-- Greenville's Sean McQuillan has been named the Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of October 22-28.

McQuillan had two goals in two games played last week. He scored the lone goal in a 1-0 victory versus MacMurray College to get the important game-winner that helped secure the Panthers a spot in the SLIAC Tournament. McQuillan also scored a crucial goal as Greenville battled first place Webster University to a 2-2 draw in double overtime.

McQuillan,  a senior from Glasgow, Scotland (St. Thomas Aquinas), was flattered to receive the award.

"It is an honor to be Player of the Week, but it wouldn't have happened if it were not for my great teammates around me, " McQuillan explains. "Hopefully we can just continue our success against SLIAC opponents as we enter into the Conference tournament and then go all the way!"
