Women's Basketball Holds on Against Blackburn

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's basketball team faced off versus conference opponent Blackburn College Tuesday night and came away victorious 59-47.  It was very much a team effort as the Lady Panthers had three players in double figures.

Ieisha Adams led Greenville with 14 and Laura Hobbie and Kayla Hyde with 12 and 11 points.  Greenville dominated the boards out rebounding Blackburn by 20 with Coley Baker leading the charge with an impressive 17.

Not only was Baker dominating on the glass, she also had eight blocked shots falling two short of an unique double double.

The win saw Greenville improve to 3-1 in SLIAC competition and 7-5 for the season.  Next up is Eureka College this Saturday with a 1 p.m. tip-off time.
